Cora Ann Spencer

She was born on April 26, 1953, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Joseph and Arbutis (Perry) McCauley.

Surviving are her two children, Matthew Spencer and his wife, Amber, of Ohio, and Mary Watts and her husband, Donny, of Huntington; one sister, Tammy Shoulders and her husband, Doug, of Beverly; seven grandchildren, Braydon Spencer, Bentley Spencer, Brayleigh Ann Spencer, James Webb, Sierra Watts, Alyssa Watts and Shannon Webb; one great-granddaughter, Claire; and one special friend, John Davis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Arbutis McCauley; brother, Roger Lee McCauley; and one sister, Brenda Wiedenhoff.

Miss Spencer was a beloved mother, sister and grandmother. She was also a member of The Prophetic King of Glory Church on Huntington.

She was a retired school teacher that enjoyed baking and cooking, along with spending time with her grandchildren.

Cora will forever be missed, but her love will be cherished throughout her friends and family’s hearts.

Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory, 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi, on Friday Feb. 3, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., with Pastor Randy Montgomery officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mary’s Chapel Cemetery.
