David Howard Bryant

He was born Oct. 1, 1936, in Charleston West Virginia, a son of the late Joseph Stevens and Nellie Irene Huffman Bryant.

On May 14, 1959, he married Geraldine Marie Knicely, who preceded him in death on May 3, 2010.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Peggy Judson; one brother, Sherman Bryant; and one sister, Helen Huffman.

Surviving are five sons, Roy Joseph Bryant of South Carolina, Mitchell Eugene, Robert and Scottie Bryant all of North Carolina, and Donald Gene Bryant of Buckhannon; three daughters, Helen Whitcomb and Janet McLean, both of Buckhannon, and Donna Haile of South Carolina; several grandchildren and two brothers, Edgar Bryant of French Creek, West Virginia, and Marion Bryant of Harrison County, West Virginia.

Mr. Bryant was a Finisher at Corhart Refractories in Buckhannon and attended Nay Chapel United Methodist Church.

Friends will be received Monday, July 24, 2023, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Upshur County Memorial Park in Tennerton, West Virginia.
