Gary Michael ‘Mike’ Gibson

He was born Aug. 1, 1966, at Belington, a son of Joseph Lee Weese Sr. and the late Patricia Ann (Gibson) Weese.

On Feb. 10, 1996, he was united to the former Lisa Dawn Clark, who survives at their residence at Belington.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Roger Clark.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Adrianna Fenstermacher and husband, Buster, of Belington, Anthony Gibson and wife, Heather, of Century, Russell Smith of Elkins, Chad Vest and wife, Laura, of Elkins, and bonus child Nicole Canfield and husband, Robbie, of Belington.

Also surviving are his mother-in-law, Susan Clark of Belington; sister, Christie Simmons and companion, Mike Ramsey, of Belington; and brother, Joseph Lee Weese Jr. of Thomas.

Additional survivors include his grandchildren. McKenzie Bolyard, Michael Gibson, Stevyn Gibson, Aubrey Gibson, Damian Fenstermacher, Bryson Fenstermacher and Peighton Vest; and two bonus grandchildren, Peyton Bolyard and Caitlin Miller.

Mr. Gibson attended the schools of Barbour County and was a protestant by faith.

He was previously employed as an electrician for Arch Resources Coal Mines in Grafton before becoming disabled. He was a member of the WV Classic Wheels Antique Car Club and he loved to hunt and fish, but most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Friend will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home 56 N. Brandenburg Street in Belington on Friday July 12, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the funeral hour, at which time final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Pastor Todd Mouser officiating.

Interment will then follow in the Trinity Cemetery near Belington.
