With a sad and heavy heart Mrs. Patricia J. Leash, 82, a resident of Dartmoor, West Virginia, departed this life Thursday morning July 16, 2024, at home with her family.
She was born in Huntington, West Virginia, on June 26, 1942, a daughter of the late Albert Collins and Frances Morrison.
On July 6, 1959, she married her kindergarten sweetheart, Raymond C. Leash Sr.. who survives at their home in Dartmoor. They were married 65 years.
Surviving are her daughters, Kathleen Turner and Kimberly Lambert and husband, Rick; one son, Robert D. Leash and fiance, Roni Bartley of Dartmoor and Cathrine Collins of whom she always thought of as a sister; grandchildren, Krista Mae Warner, Alexander Leash and fiance, Samantha Rader, of Elkins, Patrick Turner of Philippi, Michael Jones and fiance, Barbara Ann, of Junior, Stephanie Marie and Sarah Elizabeth of Maryland, William Turner of West Virginia and Abigail Leash of West Virginia; and great-grandchildren, Marella Rae, Samantha, Annalee, Jaxson, Hunter, Garrett, Gracie, Hadley, Brandilynn, Kaleb, Christopher, Axel, Landon, Gunner and Serenity.
Also surviving are many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Leash Jr.; two brothers, Albert Collins and Robert Collins; and a son-in-law, Donald Eugene Turner.
She will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home, 56 N. Brandenburg Street in Belington, on Saturday July 20, 2024, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Cremation will then follow.
