Helena Blanche Thorne Price

She was born March 12, 1954, at Philippi, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Lowell Thomas “Tommy” Thorne and Vivian Eileen Ware, who survives at Junior.

On June 27, 1973, she was united in marriage to John Louis Price Sr., who preceded her in death.

Left to cherish her memory is a sister, Mary Louise George of Norton; two brothers, Larry Thorne of Belington and Dale Thorne and wife, DeDe, of Elkins; and a grandchild, Tyler Kline and wife, Sheena, of Belington.

Additional survivors include three great-grandchildren, Xander Kline, Xadyn Kline and Adilynn Kline.

In addition to her father and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Julie E. “Jules” Price; a son;, John L. “Bub” Price Jr.; and a brother, Lowell Raymond Thorne.

Blanche attended the schools of Barbour County and attended the Calvary Mission Church in Belington. She was employed at the Barbour County Senior Center for over 30 years, where she worked as a In-Home Caregiver. She loved her flower garden and crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid wrestling fan and animal lover. Blanche was a very hard worker and never met a stranger, she would do anything for anyone especially someone in need. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home, 56 N. Brandenburg Street in Belington, on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the funeral hour, at which time final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Pastor Johnny Paul Williams II officiating.

Interment will follow in the Fraternal Cemetery in Belington.
