Bonnie Jean Bennett Teter, 91, a resident of Job, West Virginia, departed this life Tuesday evening, Oct. 1, 2024, at the Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown, West Virginia, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Monday, July 17, 1933, at Job, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Thomas William Bennett and Olive Rebecca Reed Bennett.
On Nov. 5, 1951, at Elkins, WV, she was united in marriage to the late Foster Teter, who preceded her in death on Thursday, October 29, 2009. They had celebrated fifty-seven years of marriage.
Surviving are one daughter, Donna Teter of Job; two sons, Leon Teter of Job and Mark Teter and wife, Linda, of Canaan Crossing, Dry Fork; six grandsons, Randy Teter, Wayne Teter and wife, Kelly, Garrick Teter and wife, Kristin, all of Job, Lee Teter and wife, Julie, of Elkins, Chad Currence and wife, Brandi, of Clarksburg, and Craig Currence of Job; six great-grandsons and six great-granddaughters; one great-great granddaughter, two step-grandsons and several nieces and nephew.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three younger brothers, Tommy Bennett, Michael “Doc” Bennett and Dave Bennett; and one grandson, Shawn Currence.
Bonnie attended Randolph County Schools at Harman. She was a homemaker. and Army wife, and a mother figure for much of the community. She was everyone’s Grandma. She was known for her fresh farm butter, milk and cheese, and had previously been employed at Davis Memorial Hospital, Canaan Valley Resort, and as a member of the Randolph County Squad. She was a member of the Harman V.F.W. Ladies’ Auxiliary and was a founding member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church near Job. She was strong in her faith.
The family will receive friends at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church near Job on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Final Rites will be conducted from the Church on Monday, Oct. 7, 2024, at 11 a.m.
Brother Owen Whetzel will officiate and interment will follow at the Bennett Cemetery at Job, West Virginia.
