Retha Mae Scott
Retha Mae Scott, 81, a resident of Mill Creek, passed away Monday, April 28, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon, West Virginia.
She was born Sept. 11, 1943, at Mill Creek, a daughter of the late Walden Ogel Scott and Daisy Eletha Brenwalt Scott.
She had never married.
She is survived by one sister, Rella Mills of Mill Creek; three brothers, Raymond K. Scott of Buckhannon, formerly of Mill Creek, Roger Scott (Brenda) of Prince George, Virginia, and Randolph Scott (Susie) of Mill Creek; special nieces, Regina Kay and Diana; and special nephews, Chris, Jason, Jeff, Gavin and Travis.
Retha had worked as a seamstress at Reidbord Brothers and was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading the newspaper, watching television and had attended the Memorial Mission Church when her health allowed her to.
Friends may call from noon until 2 p.m. Sunday at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, from the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Marshall Williams officiating.
Interment will follow in the Brick Church Cemetery near Huttonsville.
