It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved Donna Elaine Williams Pitsenberger, 74, on Nov. 3, 2025.
Born on Oct. 21, 1951, in Elkins, West Virginia, Donna was the daughter of the late Oskar and Arlene (Armstrong) Williams.
On Nov. 2, 1992, Donna married Dr. Thomas M. Pitsenberger.
Together, they shared nearly 33 years of love, companionship, and mutual respect. Donna’s heart was truly full when she was with Tom, and they built a life together filled with laughter, shared adventures, and a love that only grew stronger with time.
Tom’s passing on Oct. 22, 2025, was a profound loss, but the love they shared remains a guiding light for all who knew them.
Donna was also preceded in death by her parents, Oskar and Arlene Williams; her brother, Ronnie Williams; and her sister, Debbie Leary.
She is survived by her two children, Angela M. Fry (Russell) of Conway, South Carolina, and Travis C. Bennett (Jamie) of Valley Bend, West Virginia.
She is also survived by her two step-children, James J. Pitsenberger of Bozeman, Montana, and Ashley A. Harper (Matthew) of Seneca Rocks, West Virginia.
Donna was a proud grandmother to five grandchildren who brought immeasurable joy to her life, Anna M. Tingler, who is currently attending the Medical University of South Carolina at Charleston, Gunnar T. Bennett, who is attending Full Sail University and residing in Valley Bend, West Virginia, Jillian S. Bennett, who is studying at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia, Cali A. Huffman (Braydan), who graduated from West Virginia School of Nursing at Potomac State and now resides in Alpena, West Virginia, and Cpl. Cole M. Harper, a proud member of the United States Marine Corps.
Donna is also survived by her cherished siblings, Neal Williams, Keith Williams and Carol Williams, all of Elkins, West Virginia.
Donna graduated from Elkins High School in 1969. She worked alongside her husband, Dr. Thomas Pitsenberger, as a dental assistant up until her retirement in 2000.
Donna will be remembered for her warmth, her infectious smile, and her ability to make everyone around her feel loved and valued.
Friends may call at St. Brendan Catholic Church in Elkins, West Virginia, on Monday, Nov. 10, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m.Monday, from the church, with Rev. Mr. Raymond Godwin officiating.
Entombment will follow at Mountain State Memorial Gardens near Gilman.
The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins, West Virginia, in collaboration with Goldfinch Funeral Home of Conway, South Carolina, is handling the arrangements.
