Geraldine (Bryan) Mouser, age 93, a resident of Philippi, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2026, at the Mountain Living Assisted Care Facility in Belington, West Virginia, where she had been a resident under the care of Mountain Hospice since September.
Geraldine was born on Dec. 11, 1932 in Arden, West Virginia, to the late Charles H. and Virginia (Stemple) Bryan.
On May 27, 1950, she married her high school sweetheart James Linwood Mouser, who proceeded her in death on April 14, 2001. They had celebrated 50 years of marriage.
She is survived by one daughter, Susan DeLong of Philippi and companion, James Sprouse, of Belington; daughter-in-law, Donna Mouser of Port Orange, Florida; grandson, Bryan David DeLong and wife, JoLynn, of Butler, Pennsylvania; granddaughter, Tonya Tichnell of New Smyma Beach, Florida; and great-grandchildren Sebastain Colbey, Mackenzie and Jordan, all of Pennsylvania.
She is also survived by one sister, Judy Diania Lantz of Philippi; sister-in-law, Helen Mouser of Philippi; and special family and friend, Susie Campbell of Belington.
In addition to her parents and husband, Geraldine was preceded in death by her son, James Michael Mouser; brother, Charles E. Bryan; infant sister, Linda Lou Bryan; and brothers-in-law, Sherwood Lantz and William Mouser.
Geraldine was a member of the Cross Roads United Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting, tending to her flowers, and especially farming.
The family will received friends and family at the Wright Funeral Home and on-site Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Thursday, Jan. 22, from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday, Jan. 23, from 9-11 a.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jimmy Johnson officiating.
Geraldine will be laid to rest by her loving husband at the Tacy Crossroads Cemetery.
