Dave was a graduate of Belington High School class of 1963, then enlisted in the U.S. Army, proudly serving our country for two years state side and one year in Korea.

He was a ham radio operator advancing his license to include Amateur Extra Class. His call letters will now be retired.
Dave had a strong faith in God and often said he has seen the world from unclouded skies to the bottom of the ocean and he was very blessed. Dave enjoyed surf and fly fishing, boating, and was able to build anything with his hands. Dave was a kind and gentle man who enjoyed life to the fullest. He will be sadly missed by so many.
Dave was united in marriage on March 1, 1968, in Junior, West Virginia, to the love of his life and soulmate Sue (Jones) Cross, who survives at their home in Philippi. The couple was 10 days short of their 58th wedding anniversary, having two brothers, Marvin L.
