Wilda Ruth (Jones) Burner, age 91, a resident of Nella’s Nursing Home and a former resident of Philippi, passed away Friday Dec. 15, 2023. in Ruby Memorial Hospital. Wilda was born Feb. 11, 1932, in Philippi, a daughter of the late Willie E. and Dora (Wagner) Jones. Wilda was united in marriage on March 1, 1951, to Donald A. Burner, who preceded her in death on March 8, 1997. Wilda attended the Union Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening, reading and studying her bible. In earlier years Wilda babysat several children.
