John Henry “Chub” Roth Jr., 77, a resident of Elkins, passed away Friday, Jan. 9, 2026, in the WV Caring’s Hospice Center in Elkins. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A service of remembrance will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday from the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Mountain State Memorial Gardens near Gilman. She was born June 22, 1952, in Tarentum, Pennsylvania, the only child of the late Joseph and Helen Hrebicek Malobicky. She is survived by her “favorite” cousin, Dolly; and special friends, Bobbie, Vicki and Barbara. Denise and her family moved to Elkins in 1965, where she remained.
