Barbour County is ready for fall football season

It’s football season. Good luck to all the many players this season. Stay safe and do your best.

There will be a Ladies Night Out on Sept. 9 from 6-9 pm at Battlers Knob. There will be live entertainment, a Photo Booth, wine tasting, door prizes, food, and more. Tickets can be purchased at People’s Bank, BC Bank, or any Freedom Bank location.

Also on Sept. 9, from 4:30-6 p.m., Philippi Public Library will be hosting Family Game Night. Try a new game or play an old favorite. Call the library to register. 304-457-3495.

There will be a 5K Dog Jog and a 2K Cat Walk at Battlers Knob on Sept. 14 at 1 p.m. This is to benefit Animal Friends of Barbour County, Paws for a Cause. To register, call 304-591-2260. Pets are welcome.

Old Fashioned Days will take place in Belington on Sept. 20, with festivities starting at 9 a.m.

From a car show, music, food, duck race, cake walk, pie eating contest, sawmill demonstration, and much more — there is sure to be something fun for everyone.

Looking ahead, the annual Mt. Liberty Fall Festival will take place on Oct. 18 from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
