For the past two years I’ve lived in Randolph County, I’ve watched the public school system in Randolph County fall deeper into crisis, not because of mismanagement at the Board of Education, but because of deliberate policy decisions made at the state and federal levels. Let’s be clear: this crisis is not an accident. It is the direct result of an intentional effort by Republican leadership to defund and dismantle public education in West Virginia. Freed from brokering the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, he managed to place relations with Russia on a positive track, despite some of his advisors, chiefly Keith Kellogg, pushing for a tilt towards Kyiv. This letter is in reference to the October 17, 2025 article by Brad Johnson about the “No Kings” rallies. In particular, I would like to point out a couple of things that perhaps the rally supporters have overlooked. First of all, I agree that there should be no kings in this country: we experienced the first “No Kings” rally in July of 1776 when we declared our independence from Great Britain and King George III. Mike Johnson, the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, stated last Friday that people who participated in the No Kings protests were Marxists, socialists, antifa advocates, anarchists, terrorists, and pro-Hamas.
