ELKINS — Luke Valentine scored a pair of games to lead Elkins to a 6-0 win over Nicholas County Thursday night at Tiger Stadium.

Tucker Cutright and Valentine netted first-half goals for the Tigers inside of 10 minutes left in the opening stanza.

Elliot Arbogast made it 3-0 in the 36th minute of the second half.

Tristan Whited added a goal just 3 minutes later, while Major Chewning and Valentine later found the back of the net.

“The boys played well tonight, EHS coach Scott Cutright said. ” We kept pressure on their backline and had some quality looks on goal.

“This has been a good start to the season, but now we have to turn our focus to a Fairmont Senior team who is always a top tier program.”

The Tigers (3-0) entertain the Polar Bears at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
