Marks throws for three scores to lead Tucker over Bulldogs

PARSONS — Samuel Marks threw three touchdown passes to help lead Tucker County to a 50-0 win over Tygarts Valley Friday night at R.H. Armstrong Memorial Field at Class of 1984 Alumni Stadium.
After the Mountain Lions (2-0) intercepted a Bulldogs (1-1) pass on the opening drive of the game, the hosts took an 8-0 lead at the 7:31 mark of the first quarter when Lucas Barb ran into the end zone for a 3-yard score.
Tucker County extended its lead to 16-0 with 10:56 to go in the second quarter when Marks threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to Reid Kisamore.
The Mountain Lions forced a safety late in the first half and Cayden Arnold ran in for a touchdown as Tucker County took a 26-0 advantage into the break.
The Mountain Lions scored on its opening possession of the second half when Marks found Keelyn Eichelberger for a 25-yard touchdown that pushed the lead to 34-0.
Late in the third quarter Marks threw his third scoring strike of the game when he connected with Arnold for a 14-yard touchdown that made it 42-0 after another 2-point conversion. Tucker County went for two points on every point-after attempt in the game.
The Mountain Lions capped off the scoring in the fourth quarter when Cade Rapp raced into the end zone for a 13-yard score.
Tucker County will return to action next Friday when it travels to East Hardy. Tygarts Valley will travel to Webster County the same evening.
