PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Davis & Elkins and Point Park (Pa.) battled to a 1-1 draw Wednesday in Mountain East Conference men’s soccer action.

Yiftah Harari put the Senators on top with a goal in the 31st minute off an assist from Hugo Fauli.

The Pioneers answered in the 46th minute when Giovanni Pezzi found the back of the net.

Fridolin Gefrorer was credited with the helper.

D&E held a 26-16 advantage on shots and 10-4 edge in shots on goal.

The Senators also attempted three corner kicks to three tries by Point Park.

Charlie Phillips had three saves in goal for D&E.

Gregorio Capponi had nine saves for the Pioneers (7-7-2, 7-4-2 MEC).

The Senators are now 7-5-4 overall and 7-4-4 in MEC and fourth in the league standings.

They will end the regular season at 3 p.m. next Wednesday at MEC foe West Virginia Wesleyan.

The Bobcats (3-10-3, 2-8-2) dropped a 3-0 decison at Salem on Wednesday. They will host Frostburg State at 3:30 p.m. Sunday for a MEC tilt.
