ELKINS –Entering its bye week, Elkins moved up one spot to 12th in this week’s WVSSAC Class AAA playoff ratings.

The Tigers, coming off a win over Brooke, finish the regular season on Nov. 8 at Preston.

Philip Barbour remained fourth in Class AA and will entertain triple-A East Fairmont this Friday night.

The 19th-rated Bees are still fighting for a playoff spot.

In Class A, Tucker County is 11th this week and were idle this past week.

The Mountain Lions host Class AA, No. 11 Petersburg on Friday night.

Pendleton County is fifth and East Hardy eighth.

The Wildcats visit Moorefield on Friday, while the Cougars host No. 7 Cameron.
