Martinsburg hands Lady Vikings first loss

MARTINSBURG — Class AAAA, No. 8 Martinsburg claimed a 67-33 victory over Petersburg on Tuesday evening.

Aaliyah Wymer had 17 points and Alexis Simmons 10 for the Lady Bulldogs, who were making their season debut and carried a 34-16 lead into the intermission break.

Miley Tinger led the Lady Vikings with 15 points.

Petersburg (2-1) is scheduled to host Frankfort at 6 p.m. Friday.
