Wildcats use big second quarter to best Bulldogs
MILL CREEK — Chase Owens scored 12 of his game-high 28 points as part of a 35-point second-quarter outburst to lead Pendleton County a 75-59 victory over Tygarts Valley Tuesday night in a battle of PVC and regional foes.
The Bulldogs jumped out to a 21-11 lead after the first canto but the Wildcats took control in the second stanza, outscoring the hosts, 35-14.
Travis Owens and Jaydon Hess added 11 points apiece for Pendleton County.
Parker Bell poured in 23 points and Jacob Wamsley chipped in 15 for Tygarts Valley, which dropped to 3-5 and hosts Harman at 7 p.m. Friday.
The Wildcats are now 6-2 and entertain Tucker County this evening.
