MILL CREEK — Jacob Wamsley scored 27 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Tygarts Valley to a 75-56 win over Paw Paw Saturday at Weber-Wamsley Court.

Parker Bell added 19 points and four assists for the Bulldogs, who led 46-25 at halftime.

Aiden Phares chipped in 11 rebounds, Adam Woods five assists and seven rebounds, Alex Scott six caroms, four helpers and two steals, Preston Smith four assists and Wamsley two steals.

Braylen Paul had 23 points and Taylor Carder added 20 for the Pirates in the setback.

“It was good to see us play well after a great win on Friday night (against Clay-Battelle) that wore us down both mentally and physically,” Tygarts Valley coach Tom Wamsley said. “On Saturday, we came out with good effort and stayed within our fundamental game plan and pulled out the win against a pesky Paw Paw team.”

The Bulldogs are now 8-11 and will visit Tucker County on Tuesday evening and return home on Wednesday to battle Notre Dame.
