PITTSBURGH (AP) — Paul Skenes allowed two hits over eight masterful innings to help the Pittsburgh Pirates topple the Colorado Rockies 3-1 on Tuesday night. The reigning National League Cy Young winner carried a no-hitter into the seventh while retiring 18 of the first 19 batters he faced. MORGANTOWN — West Virginia football landed its first quarterback commit for the class of 2027. Three-star quarterback Andre Phillip announced on social media that he is committing to the Mountaineers. Phillip picked WVU over Iowa State, Army, UTEP and Navy. Phillip is listed as a 6-foot-2, 190-pound quarterback from Spring, Texas. He’s rated as the 63rd quarterback in the class and 135th-best player in Texas.
