I was supposed to be recovering from carpal tunnel surgery this week but it seems that having cellulitis takes a front row seat over elective surgery. After multiple days of bed rest and antibiotics it seems I may be going to the hospital if they can find a bed for me. Please pray for all the people dealing with this flu that’s trying to take over. The elderly are especially in trouble or those that may have compromised immune systems or respiratory issues. Archery program thriving in schools

The National Archery in the Schools Program was actually started by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources in 2002. Its purpose was to address the lack of archery competition shooting in physical education classes of public schools. To date, millions of youth have participated in this program, not only in the United States, but also in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and South Africa. The weather for the first week of 2018 was not fit for anyone or anything to be stirring around in. The weather conditions for the beginning of the second week may have warmed things up, but they still leave something to be desired. I have seriously grouse hunted only once in my life. This was back about 1985 with a person I worked with at the old Memorial General Hospital who was a big-time ruffed grouse hunter. My friend had a beautiful bird dog that was good at flushing the birds out of the brush. On this particular outing, my friend was able to get one grouse, but another hunting companion and I went home skunked. I have only bagged three ruffed grouse in all of my years of sport hunting.
