ELKINS -- A Harman man has been indicted for murder, one of 32 indictments handed down by a Randolph County grand jury Monday afternoon.
Dallas Ray Bryant, 70, now an inmate at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail, was indicted on one felony count of murder,one felony count of use or presentation of a firearm during commission of a felony, and two misdemeanor counts of false information.
Bryant was arrested in November in the death of Preston L. "Patch" Higgins, 66. West Virginia
State Police found Higgins in his driveway with a gunshot wound to his chest, along with bruise/abrasion to his forehead.
Other indictments Monday included:
Coty Alan Brown, 33, was indicted on one felony count of offense committed by inmate, and one count of battery, a misdemeanor.
Christian Alexander Dodson, 25, was indicted on three felony counts of possession with intent to deliver a Controlled Substance, and one felony count of conspiracy.
Jessica Haley McDougal, 33, of Norton, was indicted on three felony counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and one felony count of conspiracy.
Wesley James Dodson-Shahan, 27, of Woodbridge, Virginia, was indicted on three felony counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and one felony count of conspiracy.
William Brian Durnal, 59, was indicted on one felony count of attempt to escape by persons in custody of institutions or officers, one felony count of attempt to disarm an officer, and one misdemeanor count of battery upon a law enforcement officer.
Austin Michael Fortney, 25, of Elkins, was indicted on one felony count of obtaining money, property, or services by false pretenses, and one felony count of conspiracy.
Hailey Nicole VanPelt, 22, of Beverly, was indicted on one felony count of obtaining money, property, or services by false pretenses, and one felony count of conspiracy.
Crystal Merie Wells, 41, of Beverly, was indicted on one felony count of obtaining money, property, or services by false pretenses, and one felony count of conspiracy.
Seth Wade Goldsmith, 35, an inmate at Huttonsville Correctional Center, was indicted on four felony counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and one misdemeanor count of knowingly keeping or maintaining a dwelling, building, or other structure or place for the purpose of using or selling controlled substances.
Beth Ann Gump, 44, was indicted on three felony counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, one felony count of attempted possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and one felony count of conspiracy.
Anna Maria Hammonds, 41, of Valley Bend, was indicted on two felony counts of delivery of a controlled substance, two felony counts of attempted delivery of a controlled substance, and one felony count of conspiracy.
David Allan Arbogast, 44, of Valley Bend, was indicted on one felony count of delivery of a controlled substance, one felony count of attempted delivery of a controlled substance, and one felony count of conspiracy.
Marcus Wade Hipp, 51, of Elkins, was indicted on two felony counts of threats of terrorist acts, two misdemeanor counts of assault, and three misdemeanor counts of possession by prohibited person of a firearm.
Burlin Junior Howell, 59, of Elkins, was indicted on two felony counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and one felony count of child neglect creating risk of serious bodily injury or death.
Adam Ray Isner, 39, was indicted on two felony counts of burglary, one felony count of attempted grand larceny, and one felony count of conspiracy.
Jeffery Earl Poling, 44, of Elkins, was indicted on one felony count of burglary, one felony count of attempted grand larceny, and one felony count of conspiracy.
John Wesley Lambert, 19, of Beverly, was indicted on one felony count of fraudulent use of an access device, one felony count of conspiracy, and one misdemeanor count of contributing to the delinquency of a child.
Timothy Lee Leary, 51, was indicted on one felony count of burglary, one misdemeanor count of petit larceny, and one misdemeanor count of destruction of property.
Nathan Mark Lewis, 40, was indicted on one felony count of driving while license revoked for DUI, Third Offense, one felony count of attempt to disarm an officer, one felony count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, one misdemeanor count of battery upon a law enforcement officer, and one misdemeanor count of fleeing from an officer by any means other than the use of a vehicle.
Joseph Ray Maxwell, 36, was indicted on one felony count of shoplifting, third offense.
Cheryl Ann McCarty, 49, of Elkins, was indicted on one felony count of concealment or removal of minor child from custodian or from person entitled to visitation, one felony count of conspiracy, one misdemeanor count of false information, and one misdemeanor count of obstructing an officer.
Roslynn Nichole McCarty, 25, was indicted on one felony count of concealment or removal of minor child from custodian or from person entitled to visitation, and one felony count of conspiracy.
William Franklin McCauley, 39, of Elkins, was indicted on two felony counts of delivery of a controlled substance, one felony count of conspiracy, and one felony count of delivery of a counterfeit controlled substance.
Jayson Carl Morhard, 49, of Elkins, was indicted on one felony count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, second or subsequent offense, and one felony count of conspiracy.
Gavin Wade Morris, 30, was indicted on one felony count of failure to register as a sexual offender or provide notice of registration changes.
Randy Allen Nethken, 33, of Mabie, was indicted on one felony count of arson in the first degree.
Franklin Delano Pritt, 42, was indicted on one felony count of wanton endangerment involving a firearm, one misdemeanor count of unlawful restraint, and one misdemeanor count of battery.
Zachary Ryan Pritt, 31, was indicted on one felony count of soliciting a minor via computer, one felony count of attempted possession of material depicting a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct, and one felony count of attempted employment or use of minor to produce obscene matter or assist in doing sexually explicit conduct.
Melvin Leslie Reese, 58, was indicted on one felony count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and one misdemeanor count of possession by prohibited person of a firearm.
Patrick Dalton Swecker, 21, of Beverly, was indicted on one felony count of sexual assault in the second degree, and three felony counts of sexual assault in the third degree.
Garrett Everett Zirkle, 21, an inmate of Denmar Correctional Center in Hillsboro, was indicted on two felony counts of failure to register as a sexual offender or provide notice of registration changes.
Bond return for the indictments will be on Monday, July 1 at 1:30 p.m., at which time bond will be set and trial dates will be determined. The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
