Trump fakes out the Dems

The Republicans’ greatest allies are the Democrats. They make error after error and repeat their errors. They say a dog goes back to its poop. Well, maybe that would explain it.

In the spirit of March Madness basketball, the Democrats will jump for the “head fake” and simply go the wrong way, every time. It is sad to see.

For example, the Save America Act is a tool in President Donald Trump’s toolbox. He is using this bill to get rid of the Senate filibuster. He has even stated that he would sign no other bills until this bill has been signed into law.

That is an unprecedented approach. Most provisions can be passed under unanimous consent, but Trump will not compromise (I believe that even if passed, it would violate states’ rights per our constitution). It is not really about the Save America Act. It is an act that will ultimately not save America but will make Trump a king. And for Trump, that means “saving America.”

In the meantime, we have wars, the salacious Epstein files, unpaid TSA workers, angry Americans unnecessarily waiting in long lines at airports, and the affordability problem getting dramatically worse. Our current path gives us neither peace nor prosperity. That is not what Americans voted for.

Trump rules like a dictator. Dictators cannot spell “compromise” and don’t know what it means. They question why they need to compromise since caring for others is not high on their list of priorities.

That is all the more reason why Democrats must find ways to compromise. Otherwise extremists win and America will lose.

Democrats, you are allowing all the bad that has happened in the last 15 months to be passed over in your attempt to use traditional measures as the minority against a person who has no desire to play the political game. He merely wants to have kingly powers — period.

Democrats, you saw just months ago Trump’s willingness to close the entire government down. Trust me, it would still be closed if a handful of Democrats had not been smart enough to leave their caucus and vote to pass a continuing resolution to reopen government. And when all was said and done their demands did not materialize.

So what do the “not-too-bright” Democrats do? They repeat the same mistake but on a smaller target – funding for the Department of Homeland Security. So they banged their heads against a wall once and got nothing and now they use the exact same tactic but this time they think they are going to get something.

Ok. Geez, I wish we had a formidable third party.

So, if the Democrats continue to play squash at a tennis match they will not only continue to look ridiculous, but they will give us a Trump on steroids. If the Senate filibuster is removed, Trump will legally be able to rollover 330 million Americans as one-party rule would be in place.

Democrats totally underestimate Trump and think he is a buffoon. That is part of Trump’s “charm” — kind of like the TV detective “Colombo.” Democrats are “too damn emotional” and petty.

For Trump, well, like other failed leaders in history, he suffers from too much bravado.
