ELKINS — Mountaineer Insurance is the top seed in the Elkins “Elks” Babe Ruth City Tournament scheduled to begin Monday at Robin Harvey Memorial Field.
Broughton’s Sports in the second seed and also received a first-round bye.
Sixth-seed McDonald’s faces third-seed Citizens Bank of West Virginia at 5:30 p.m. in Monday’s opening game of the tournament, followed by fourth-seed Davis Trust Company against fifth-seed Elkins Fordland at 8 p.m.
The McDonald’s-CNB victor battles Broughton’s at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and the DTC-Fordland winner faces Mountaineer Insurance at 8 p.m.
The tournament runs through Saturday’s title game.
