Willard Keith “Keith” Fincham, 80, of Elkins, West Virginia, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love and memories of those who knew him.
Keith was born in Elkins, West Virginia, on June 8, 1946. He was the son of Thurman Luther Fincham and Martha Avenelle White Fincham.
Keith was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam era. His military service was an important part of his life, and he was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal and a Good Conduct Medal.
Following his military service, Keith worked in the carpentry and masonry trades. He was a skilled carpenter and mason, taking pride in his work and the things he was able to build with his hands.
Keith was a member of the American Legion Post 29 in Elkins and was a State Horseshoe Champion. He also enjoyed bowling and was a member of a bowling league, where he bowled several 300 games. After his retirement, he became an avid golfer.
He attended Christian church services and will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his service to his country, his craftsmanship, and the many friendships he formed throughout his life.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Thurman and Martha Fincham; his brother, Larry Duane Fincham; sister-in-law, Cindy Sue Fincham; brother-in-law, Joseph B. Johnson; and his wife, Sharon Lynn Fincham, who passed away Jan. 11, 2022.
He is survived by his brothers, Doyle “Mitchell” Fincham of Summit Point, West Virginia, and David Lance Fincham (Deborah) of Beverly, West Virginia; his sisters, Sheila Kathryn Johnson of Keyser, West Virginia, and Shelley Denise Hyre (Dr. Craig) of Elkins, West Virginia; along with several nieces and nephews.
Keith's life reflected service, hard work, perseverance, and a love for the people around him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A private family graveside service will be at Mountain State Memorial Gardens in Gilman, West Virginia, with military honors. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved him.
