ELKINS - The Randolph County Board of Education voted against closing Coalton Elementary School and Midland Elementary School at the end of a nearly four-hour public hearing Tuesday evening. The vote to close Coalton was four against and one in favor. The vote to close Midland was three against and two in favor.
