Lillie M. Yoakum

On Jan. 16, 2025, Lillie M. Yoakum passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family. She was the beloved wife of late Chester C. Yoakum; devoted mother of Edward Yoakum (Beth) and Nancy Hill (Tom); and dear sister-in-law of Cellie M. Bierly. Lillie is also survived by three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several dear nieces and nephews. Sterl Edward Welch, 85, a resident of Elkins, went home to be with the Lord Thursday evening, Jan. 16, 2025, at the Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until noon Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. Mr. Welch will then be moved to the Mountain State Memorial Gardens near Gilman where a chapel service will be held at 12:15 p.m. Pastor John Welch will officiate and interment will follow.
