Betty J. White, 85, a resident of the Lambert Road, Bowden, West Virginia, passed away at 9 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 28, 2023, in the Elkins Rehabilitation & Care Center in Elkins. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until noon, Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at noon today, from the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Todd Rhodes officiating. Interment will follow in the Lambert Cemetery at Middle Mountain. Mary Lou Murphy, 89, a resident of Philippi, passed away Sunday, Dec. 31, 2023, in Mansfield Place of Broaddus Hospital. Mary was born June 3, 1934, in Kanawha County, a daughter of the late Thomas O. and Beulah Blanche (Purkey) Perry.
