Reuben Lawrence Currence and Janice Marvella Cutright Currence

Eddie Currence and Marquetta Cade would like to invite you to celebrate the 60th wedding anniversary of their parents: Reuben Lawrence Currence and Janice Marvella Cutright Currence at Tygart Valley Baptist Church in the fellowship hall from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025. Cards will be appreciated but gifts are not necessary. Please come and encourage this couple as they celebrate the original wedding date of Oct. 19, 1965.

They were married on Oct 19, 1965 in Oakland, Marlyland. Janice is the daughter of the late Raymond Cutright and the late Marcella Ware. Reuben is the son of the late Reuben Davidson Currence and the late Goldie Bishop Currence. The couple had two children, Reuben Eddie Currence of Mill Creek and Retha Marquetta Cade of Valley Bend. They have four grandchildren, Heather Cade Conrad, Reuben Cade III, Evan Currence and Zach Currence; and one great-grandchild, Jasper Conrad.

Reuben Lawrence Currence currently severs as the Huttonsville Mayor and was a member of Huttonsville City Council for 40 years. He retired from Randolph County Schools in 1996 after 32 and half years. Janice currently serves as on the Huttonsville City Council and retired from Mountain Valley Bank in 2011 after 37 years.
