Tumble Time starts season strong

ELKINS — Tumble Time gymnasts have competed in three meets so far this season. They traveled to Bridgeville, Pennsylvania, for the Wild, Wild West Meet, Charleston for the Big Dog Meet and Pittsburgh for the Candy Cane Classic.

At the Wild, Wild West meet, the Bronze gymnasts, many of whom competed for the first time ever, took fourth place.  

Bronze gymnasts Makenna Beets, Ella Shifflett, Lillyana Bosely and Lena Purdy all had no fall beam routines. Ella Shifflett got third on bars, third on floor and third all around. Ellie Ree got third on vault. Lilly Bosely got third on beam and Makenna Beets took sixth on floor. Lena Purdy got third on bars, second on floor and third all-around.  

Silver gymnasts performed well, testing out their new routines at the first meet of the season. Daisy Simmons got third on bars, second on beam, first on floor and third all-around.

Elizabeth Dale got fitth on beam and Emery Purdy took third on beam. Jillian Chenoweth got fifth on vault.  Braelyn Haddix took fourth all-around, Maggie Thompson placed fourth on floor and Emersyn Biller had third on beam.

Gold gymnasts had a good first meet.  Avery Fox placed third on floor, Eval Collier placed first on vault, Kinley Koch had eighth on floor and Madilynn Smallridge placed third on vault, second on floor and first all around.  

Platinum gymnast Vivienne Shepherd placed third on beam and third on floor.

At Big Dog, Bronze gymnasts continued to improve. Mia Wiseman made her debut placing fourth in all events and all around. Ellie Ree placed third on vault and beam. Lilly Bosely placed third on bars, second on beam, floor and all-around. Ella Shifflett was first on bars, third on beam, second on floor and all-around. Makenna Beets placed fifth on beam and Addie Skinner was second on floor. Kinsley Ricotilli placed third on beam and second on floor. Lena Purdy was second on floor while Ella McCauley placed seventh on beam. Maci Harman placed first on floor.

The Silver gymnasts performed strongly as well. Braelyn Haddix placed third on vault and bars, second on floor and first on beam and all-around. Maggie Thompson placed first on floor and second on bars, beam and all-around. Emersyn Biller placed first on vault and third on bars and all-around. Jillian Chenoweth placed second on bars and third on vault, beam and all-around. Clara Wilfong placed second on vault and beam. Emery Purdy placed first on beam and third on bars, floor and all-around. Lizzie Dale placed second on beam and all-around. Kelsie Hill placed third on beam and floor while Daisy Simmons placed second on bars.

The Gold gymnasts continued to perform well in their new level. Avery Fox placed third on beam and second on floor. Eva Collier placed sixth on floor and Kinley Koch placed ninth all-around. Madilynn Smallridge placed third on vault and bars, first on floor and second on beam and all-around.  

Platinum gymnasts came in strong on floor this meet. Vivienne Shepherd was third on bars and floor, Reese Markley placed first on floor and second all-around. Taylor Griffith was third on vault and floor, first on beam and second all-around.

The Candy Cane Classic was held in Pittsburgh. Bronze gymnasts Mia Wiseman, Lillyana Bosely and Lena Purdy competed. Mia’s best event this meet was floor with a score of 8.3. Lilly had a great beam routine with a score of 8.7 and Lena Purdy shined on bars with a score of 9.3.  

Silver gymnasts who competed were Maggie Thompson, Braelyn Haddix, Emersyn Biller, Clara Wilfong, Emery Purdy, Daisy Simmons and Elizabeth Dale. Maggie scored a 9.35 on bars and a 9.05 on floor. Braelyn had a 9.55 on bars and a 9.25 on beam. Emersyn had a 9.15 on bars and a 9.45 on beam. Clara had a 9.2 on vault and bars and a 9.25 on beam. Emery scored a 9.1 on bars and Daisy had a 9.8 on bars. Lizzie scored a 9.0 on vault and a 9.4 on bars and beam.

Gold gymnasts Eva Collier and Kinley Koch competed at this meet. Eva improved her floor routine to a 9.3 and Kinley improved her floor routine to an 8.8.  

Platinum gymnast Vivienne Shepherd finished off the meet with a season high 9.6 on floor.  

Tumble Time Gymnastics is located at 921 South Railroad Ave. in Elkins, offering competitive and recreational gymnastics, as well as gymnastics for children starting at 18 months old.
