Clinic welcomes new professionals

Hickman

St. George Medical Clinic, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Melissa Hickman, PT, described as “a skilled, compassionate and results-driven physical therapist bringing more than nine years of experience in patient centered care” to the SGMC rehabilitation team.

Hickman is skilled in functional movement analysis, therapeutic exercise, and patient education with a strong record of helping patients achieve measurable progress toward increasing independence.

She is passionate about helping each patient reach their highest potential and is committed to providing evidence based, individualized therapy to meet every patient’s needs. Melissa states “I absolutely relish working with the geriatric population, and I’ve always believed that the elderly have invaluable life experiences to share”.

Originally from Clarksburg, she and her family reside in Randolph County. Hickman earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from West Virginia Wesleyan College and went on to obtain a Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from West Virginia University.

She says she was “drawn to Tucker County’s small-town charm and St. George Clinic’s sense of community.”

A seasoned oral health professional with 20 years of dental hygiene experience, Dr Clark provides patient-centered, prevention-focused dentistry.

Dr. Clark’s combination of clinical skill, compassion, and a prevention first approach makes her a perfect fit for St. George Medical Clinic, Inc.,according to a SGMC press release.

With her background in dental hygiene this shapes her chairside manner of: clear communication, gentle techniques, and practical education that empowers patients to maintain healthy smiles between visits.

She provides comprehensive general dentistry, including routine exams and cleanings, fillings, simple extractions, sealants, fluoride treatments, and personalized care plans for children and adults.

Dr. Clark graduated from West Liberty University with her Associates degree in Dental Hygiene and went on to obtain her Doctor of Dental Surgery from West Virginia University School of Dentistry.
