Randolph man faces 53 fraud charges

BELINGTON — Charges against a Randolph County man accused of stealing over $700 from his father’s bank account total 53 after he received 36 more charges for the same crime. Denver James Goodwin, 29, of Belington, is charged with 36 counts of possession of counterfeit or unauthorized access device with intent to defraud, a felony. He is currently being held at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail for these charges on a $25,000 cash-only bond set by Randolph County Magistrate Tracy Harper. TROUBLESOME VALLEY — Pendleton County saw two tornadoes touch down during the severe storms on July 21, officials said. According to reports, during the July 21 storms, a EF1 tornado touched down at 7:25 p.m. on Kiser Gap Road in Franklin near Route 33. Memorial blood drive had strong turnout

MILL CREEK - The American Red Cross recently held a blood drive at Tygarts Valley High School that saw close to 100 community members sign up to donate blood. The event was held in memory of longtime community member and football coach Shane "Big Dawg" Maxwell.
