Randolph EMS again providing DMC transports

ELKINS - The Randolph County Emergency Squad has returned to making hospital-to-hospital transports from Davis Medical Center, after ending the service one year ago today. Last August, both sides announced that the RCEMS would no longer be providing the transports, and that Health Team Critical Care Transport would be servicing ambulance transports from Davis Medical Center. Construction on Davis bridge to start in 2027

ELKINS — The reconstruction of the Davis Avenue Bridge will start in early 2027, officials report. The City of Elkins announced this week that the West Virginia Division of Highways had provided an update regarding the Davis Avenue Bridge project, which will reconstruct the more than 70-year-old bridge, which connects south Elkins to downtown. ELKINS — Mountain State Forest Festival Director General Nathaniel Bonnell has announced the appointments of Delaney Reed Bennett, Addysin Jean Terry, Lance Parker Hardy, and Harrison Monroe Wood as Royal Scouts for the 88th Mountain State Forest Festival. Delaney is the daughter of Vanessa Bennett and Darren Bennett of Elkins. She is the granddaughter of Eleanor and Jim Reed of Hurricane and the late Lindy and Judy Bennett, formally of Quiet Dell.
