Jeffrey Lynn Graham
GRAHAM
Jeffrey Lynn Graham (or “Bear” as he was affectionately known) passed away on Jan, 2, 2023.
He fought a long and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on June 21, 1954, to the late Ison (Ike) and Ella Marie (Conte’) Graham.
He was a life-long resident of Elkins.
He earned the nickname “Bear” from his intimidating physical size. Despite this, he was a soft spoken, kind-hearted person who enjoyed playing pool, riding motorcycles and spending time with those he loved.
He had many careers throughout his life including working as a tool pusher, working as a driller for several gas well companies, working in wholesale for the metals industry, and serving as owner and operator of Daddy’s Daycare.
He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings, Donna (Graham) Wilcutt of Oklahoma, Eva Lou “Toots” (Graham) Whitmire of Lost Creek, Mary Jo (Graham) Mayo of Elkins and John Joseph Graham of Philippi.
He is survived by one sister, Elaine (Graham) Roberts of Apple Grove, West Virginia; two brothers, Ison Paul Graham and wife, Susan, of Elkins and Stephen Wayne Graham, and life partner, Darcy Yates, of Weston; two sons, Randy Graham and Jason Graham of Ohio; one daughter, Kelsey Auvil of Elkins; and many nieces, and nephews.
Jeff was a Christian by faith.
Per his wishes, he was cremated. His ashes will be spread in the beautiful mountains of his home state, West Virginia. Currently, there are no plans for a memorial service. Donations in honor of Jeff’s life can be made to the American Cancer Society.
