Betty Jean Rigsby McClure, 93, a resident of Elkins, West Virginia, departed this life early Sunday morning, Oct. 5, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family and under the care of West Virginia Caring. She had been in declining health although death was unexpected. A graveside service will be held at the Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman, West Virginia, on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025, at 11 a.m. Pastor Rick Price will officiate and interment will follow. Janet Dayle Lytle, 81, a resident of Elkins, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025, at the Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center in Elkins. She was born, Jan. 11, 1944, in Elkins, a daughter of the late Bruce H. White and the late Dorothy Kerr White. On March 10, 1965, she was married to George E. Lytle, who preceded her in death Oct. 11, 1988. Surviving is one daughter, Carlene Lytle of Elkins; and one half-sister, Margaret Petrice Sumpter of San Antonio, Texas.
