FAIRMONT — Maddie Lambert gave up just two runs over five innings as Elkins picked up a 10-2 win over East Fairmont Thursday night in Big 10 Conference play.

Lambert gave up four hits and struck out four.

Addison Carr pitched the sixth, striking out one and allowing no hits.

Carr also tallied a pair of RBIs at the plate, while Hailey Riffle went 3 for 4 with an RBI, Emma Judy had two hits and an RBI and Emerson Haddix, Mady Shreve two hits and Madison Taylor an RBI.

Jessie Wisman and Brooklyn Haddix had RBIs for the Lady Bees. Gracie Snyder added a pair of hits.

Elkins (4-6) entertains Liberty at 5:30 p.m. today.

Tucker sweeps Preston

PARSONS — Tucker County earned a sweep of Preston Thursday at Camp Kidd.

The Lady Mountain Lions took the lidlfter, 12-7, and cruised to a 16-1 win in the nightcap.

Ava Shaffer and Peyton Hicks had three RBIs each for Tucker County in the opener.

Hicks, who had a two-run triple in the contest and also earned the win on the mound, and Sutton Pase had three hits each.

Hicks once again shined on offense in the nightcap, hitting a two-run inside-the-park homer and two-run double in finishing with five RBIs.

Bella Loucks added a pair of RBIs.

Shaffer went all three innings to earn the win, allowing two hits and striking out eight.

The Lady Mountains are slated to visit Philip Barbour at 5 p.m. today.
