MORGANTOWN — Philip Barbour’s Isaiah Starks captured the Division II title in the 100-yard freestyle Thursday at the state meet being held at Peak Health Aquatic Center at Mylan Park.

The senior finished in a time 50.61.

Starks was also runner-up in the 50 freestyle with an effort of 22.73.

Teammate Hayden Dalton turned in a fifth-place finish in the 200 IM (2:34.22) and was sixth in the 100 butterfly in a time 1:08.58.

For the girls, Philip Barbour’s 200 medley relay of McKinsey Taylor, Kendra Stalnaker, Bekha Kennedy and Bridget McGee placed eighth in a time of 2:25.85.

In the Division I portion of the meet, Buckhannon-Upshur’s Mallory Hughes placed third in the 50 freestyle (25.41) and was fourth in the 100 freestyle (57.49).
