Trio of EHS wrestlers to compete in state tourney

HUNTINGTON — Elkins High School will be represented by three wrestlers in the Division II portion of the state tourney set to get underway today Marshall Health Network Arena. The three-day event begins at 6:30 p.m. with 224 matches and concludes Saturday evening for the championship matches. Tigers competing include junior Tucker Twigg, junior Chiron Wing and sophomore Isaac Workman. Twigg, competing in the 144-pound class, is 32-3 on the season and captured the regional title. MORGANTOWN — The 23rd-ranked WVU baseball team will play the rest of the season without all-Big 12 pitcher Chase Meyer. The 6-foot-2 pitcher from Lincolnton, N.C. was removed from the official roster Tuesday, and the school later confirmed Meyer was no longer a member of the team.
