DUNMORE — Parker Bell and Jacob Wamsley combined for 45 points to lead Tygarts Valley to a 67-53 victory over regional foe Pocahontas County Wednesday night in PVC action. The Bulldogs are now 2-4 and visit Notre Dame this evening. Tygarts Valley led 17-15 after one quarter and carried a 36-25 advantage into halftime. MORGANTOWN — West Virginia and Rich Rodriguez keep loading up in the transfer portal. LSU wide receiver TaRon Francis has committed to the Mountaineers, according to CBS Sports’ Chris Hummer. Francis picked WVU after a reported visit with Iowa State and his visit to Morgantown on Wednesday. Francis was a highly recruited 4-star prospect out of high school, the 7th-best player in Louisiana and the 21st-best in the class at the time. WVU adds linebacker, pass rusher in portal

MORGANTOWN — West Virginia added a linebacker and a pass rusher, adding another Power Four-level player to its 2026 roster. Illinois linebacker Malachi Hood is reportedly transferring to the Mountaineers, which was first reported by 247Sports’ Tom Loy. Later Tuesday night, Bowling Green EDGE David Afogho also announced he’d be transferring as well. Hood joined UNLV’s Isaiah Patterson, making it two linebackers for WVU this cycle.
