Comparing lists of politicians’ missteps
Good grief, here we go again!
So, Robert Ware recently sent another letter to The Inter-Mountain and everything he said just makes me roll my eyes at the blatant blindness he has more than accepted and embraced as his reality.
He calls Democrats every nasty thing he could think of that would not require heavy censorship. He does all of this while willfully ignoring everything Republicans and Trump himself have said and done.
Robert Ware, and any other Trumpcake reading this, tell me: What in God’s name have Republicans and Trump done that makes you just so fine with? Once again, here’s a short and yet non-complete list of their atrocities that makes your list of whatever bad things Democrats have done just pale in comparison.
Tax cuts for the super-rich, with the promise that the super-rich would use all of that extra money to create jobs and give raises to their workers. Instead, what they did was move a bunch of jobs overseas or use that money to buy back stocks and bonds. In layman’s terms, the super-rich kept almost all of that money for themselves. Don’t let the fact that some places, like Wal-Mart, raised employee wages fool you: Those increased pay wages were minimal and we’re still stuck in a country where people have to work two or more jobs just to make ends meet.
Robert Ware, you accuse Democrats of being the bigots but how do you explain that more non-white candidates were elected in the Democrat party than the Republican party? Also more women Democrats were elected by landslide numbers than Republican ones. Also, more people voted for them. 2018 was the year of resisting Trump and his enablers, and there were powerful and very numerous reasons why. Electing all of those Democrats was to rebuke Trump and to finally put a check and balance on him.
Finally, I want to remind everyone of the recent government shutdown that lasted over 30 days. First, it started right before Christmas, back when Republicans still had control of all three branches of government.
They had passed a bill in both the House and Senate to keep the government running but then Trump was egged on by rightwing nut jobs to shut it all down because the bill did not include funding for his wall.
That shutdown, which led to parks being desecrated, federal workers being furloughed or forced to work without pay and halted safety inspections on airplanes, was all Trump’s fault. Lives were put in danger. Paychecks were withheld for weeks. That was all on Trump and his enablers.
To Harold Arbogast, who says we don’t give you reasons on why we hate Trump, his followers and enablers, I just gave you reasons. Stop saying that we don’t.
