Helen ‘Jean’ Cole Currence

Helen “Jean” Cole Currence, 79, a resident of Elkins, passed away Jan. 13, 2025, in the Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown. She was born Oct. 1, 1945, at Elkins, a daughter of the late Edwin L. Cole and Alma Elizabeth Zirkle Cole. On June 20, 1965, at Oakland, Maryland, she was married to David James “Jim” Currence, who preceded her in death April 11, 2015. On Wednesday, Jan.1, 2025, Eleanor Lorraine (Thrasher) Sell, 87, a resident of Mountain Memories Assisted Living in Elkins, West Virginia, and formerly of Philippi, West Virginia, passed away peacefully surrounded by family.
