Reader has doubts about the vaccines

As I read the headline, “The US has announced a diplomatic boycott of the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing over concerns of China’s alleged human rights abuses.” I couldn’t stop thinking about the hypocrisy ingrained in this headline. Stopping people from going on vacation, to the market, the beach or even visiting relatives at Christmas and Thanksgiving, or taking away your right to worship, are all human rights violations. Joe Biden is a walking, talking symbol of a failed president. We are all familiar with the phrase “buyer’s remorse.” Now our nation is facing Biden remorse. We have all done it. We see a widget that looks so shiny and enticing and that slick marketing package makes us think we must have it. The GOP’s statement that it is against our rights to force us to take COVID shots, which not only save our lives but the lives of others, is a complete farce. They can side with insurance companies to force us to wear seatbelts, so what is the difference? A seat belt saves only our life. not others. I have refrained from writing about the Kyle Rittenhouse case from the beginning, but the letter to the editor by Clark Martin in the Dec. 4 Inter-Mountain changed my mind. It was a well-written offering and summarized in a short three-minute read what’s wrong with this nation, regardless of what the air heads in the media are saying. Hat’s off to Mr. Martin. Considering the Rittenhouse verdict

Concerning the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict: From what I saw of the trial, I truly believe that everything was done according to the law concerning the way the trial was run. I am sure there will be calls for a new trial but you will probably get the same result. Mr. Rittenhouse should have never been at that riot in Kenosa, Wisconsin. My father or mother would have seen me at 16 or 17 years old, leaving the house with a rifle claiming justice for all, they would have turned me over to the police.
