15th Season Beginning
Gandy Dancer offering music, food and fun

ELKINS — The Gandy Dancer Theatre is excited to announce the start of its 15th season of performances.
Sixteen years ago, owners Ralph and Barbara Bennett, along with Jerry and Martha Metheny, brought their visions to life in a successful local theatre.
Located in Elkins — a town known for its railroad history — the theatre’s name pays tribute to the “gandy dancers,” the workers who laid the railroad rails and ties. Ralph Bennett’s father was one of them, highlighting the personal significance of the name, as explained by G’na Stephens, the CEO of the Gandy Dancer Theatre.
When the theatre first opened, it featured two shows: the Premier and the Christmas show. Fifteen years later, the lineup has expanded significantly and now includes a Tribute to Musical Legends dinner show, the Premier dinner show, two different Murder Mystery Dinners, “Aloha from Elvis dinner show,” “Mountain Memories Christmas Dinner Show,” and “Rockin’ New Year’s Eve with Elvis” dinner extravaganza.
From May to December, Gandy Dancer’s singers, performers, musicians and cast members bring the theatre to life. The venue also hosts various events, including dinners and weddings.

Anyone searching for the perfect gift for the hardest-to-buy-for person, might consider a gift certificate for any of the Gandy Dancer shows.
