BEVERLY – Youth ages 6 and up (as of June 30, 2025) are invited to take part in a hands’on Bike Skills Clinic on Monday, May 11, from 9 a.m. to noon at 4’H Camp Pioneer (there is no school for Randolph County on this day).
The clinic is open to both 4’H members and nonmembers, offering a welcoming opportunity for riders to build confidence, learn new techniques, and enjoy a morning of outdoor adventure.
The event is designed to support riders at every skill level. Children who are still learning to ride without training wheels will use balance bikes to practice the fundamentals of balance and steering. With guidance from patient instructors, many participants may even be pedaling independently by the end of the session.
More experienced riders will explore the basics of mountain biking, including balance, body position, braking, and cornering. Using natural and portable features–such as rollers and small obstacles, and youth will learn how to navigate terrain safely and skillfully.
The clinic will be led by friendly, experienced instructors who are passionate about helping young people discover the joy of biking.
