Auvil family hosts 19th annual reunion

The descendants of Charles and Charlotte Righman Auvil gathered at the New Beginnings Church Sept. 9 to celebrate the 19th annual Auvil reunion. After the blessing by Arthur Marsh, a covered-dish dinner was served. Those in attendance enjoyed the fellowship of family and friends. Haymond family gathers for fellowship

Another Labor Day is in the books and the Haymond clan has enjoyed another get together with food, fun and fellowship. Several relatives were missing this year because of too much going on with travel and other commitments. As always there was enough food and conversation to make the day a success. The gifts this year were West Virginia Glass pen holders and were given in several categories to the direct descendants. Cooper family hosts reunion

The annual Cooper family reunion took place Aug. 12 at the Mountain Farm below Harman. The day began with showers but began clearing up by the noon meal. Choruses were sung, led by Tom Cooper and Merry Lou Vance. Devotions were given by Tim Turner and Vance. Turner led the prayer for the noon meal. Turner, president, welcomed everyone and gave the following historical report. During the year there were 14 births, 15 deaths, five marriages and seven deaths related to Coopers by marriage.
