Free activities to be offered this week
ELKINS – The Centerbranch Church of Elkins is hosting multiple events this week that will be free to the community.
The Centerbranch Church, which is located on Martin Street next to the Rotary Amphitheater, will kick things off with a party in the Elkins City Park on Tuesday beginning at 6 p.m.
The Party in the Park will take place in the large pavilion and will feature activities for the entire family. The event will feature a cookout, games for kids and giveaways, which will include a Nintendo Switch and other prizes.
Those attending the party will also be treated to a special gospel message from the Centerbranch Church, which has locations in both Elkins and Bridgeport.
The Centerbranch Church will then host Revive West Virginia with Pastor Luke Brugger at the Rotary Amphitheater on both Wednesday and Thursday beginning at 7 p.m.
The free events will feature giveaways to those attending on both evenings, including televisions, fishing gear, cash prizes, bill pays and more. There will also be games for kids each evening.
Before Wednesday’s gathering at the Amphitheater, the Centerbranch Church will host a special Feed the City event at 6 p.m. The dinner will take place in the former Railyard Restaurant and will feature an array of items on the menu. During last month’s Feed the City event, the menu consisted of hot dogs, pasta shells, mac n cheese, mash potatoes, green beans, deserts, and more.
“These events are free to anyone and people can register to have some utility bills paid,” church volunteer and Feed the City organizer Traci Hopkins told The Inter-Mountain. “The church is giving away all kinds of stuff and of course we will have praise and worship as well.”
Entry for the giveaways is 100% free, and registration is required at www.centerbranch.org/revivewv.
