ELKINS - Randolph County Commissioners and others attending the most recent County Commission paid their respects to the late Chris See and announced what the process will be in replacing the long-time commissioner.    See, who passed away on June 28 at the age of 65, was in his third term as a Randolph County Commissioner in the Tygart District. Pack provides school disqualification details

CHARLESTON – State Treasurer Larry Pack released information this week about why a private school in Beverly has been disqualified from participating in the Hope Scholarship Program. DOH awards contracts in Randolph, Pocahontas

CHARLESTON – Projects in Randolph and Pocahontas counties will receive funding for projects as part of 20 contracts awarded by the West Virginia Division of Highways. In Randolph County, J.F. Allen Company was the low bidder on a resurfacing project on US 33 from Glady Road to the Sgt. Thompson Memorial Bridge, with a bid of $324,838.30. J.F. Allen Company was also the low bidder on a resurfacing project in Pocahontas County on WV 28 from Dilleys Mill to Warrior Way, with a bid of $509,098.90. Pilot app to help residents find services, support

MORGANTOWN - Hope in Action Alliance Inc. (HIAA) and the WVU Center for Excellence in Disabilities has launched a community-resource pilot app that is designed to help West Virginia residents find services, manage health-related reminders and connect with local support.    The regional pilot of "TheLink" is available for use in West Virginia Prevention Region 4, which includes Randolph, Barbour, Tucker, Upshur, Lewis, Braxton, Doddridge, Gilmer, Harrison, Marion, Monongalia, Preston and Taylor counties.
