Man charged with retaliation against a witness

BUCKHANNON — An Upshur County man faces intimidation of a witness and domestic battery charges after allegedly attacking a family member and telling her she would "regret" having him arrested. Willard Thomas Wiant, 32, is charged with one count of intimidation of and retaliation against a witness, a felony. He is also charged with one count of domestic battery and one count of destruction of property, both misdemeanors. CLARKSBURG - A North Carolina man will spend the next two years behind bars for attempting to receive a package containing nearly 2 pounds of fentanyl, announced U.S. Attorney Matthew L. Harvey. Jaquan Marquis Brock, 29, of Charlotte, North Carolina, was sentenced to 24 months in federal prison.
